Telegram to the Secretary of State from the Governor,

Hongkong, of 8th. January, 1913.

With reference to my Despatch of 2nd. December an I authorised to pay 844,200 compensation for losses sustained by boycott to 31st. December last amount of compensation based on 5% dividend and is considerable reduction in average of last year up to date boycott compensation for losses sustained during present financial year see my Despatch of 30th. December I am hopeful that boycott will come to an end soon.
